MAME uses both, and the relationship of the two settings is NOT obvious. In general the mouse driver settings and the MAME dial sensitivity multiply on each other. However, even when both are maxed out, one revolution won't send a Vaus across the screen (unless you max out the acceleration settings). The multiplying effect of the two settings causes undesirable effects...in short, a low MAME setting and high mouse driver setting is best.

Some world champions (e.g. Krogman) will have a lot of trouble trying to get 3 million. He's about to try a special 2X test unit...if that doesn't fly, then the only solution is for the MAME programmers to up the max. sensitivity from 256 to 512.
