I had thought of using a Playstation in a cabinet-with a MAME/PSX switch if possible. I had wanted to be able to play Time Crisis (with a foot pedal) and Point Blank at a comfortable height.
Most TV stands are comfortable for watching from the couch, but I like to stand close to the screen to play Time Crisis.
With the TV stand, the screen is too low if I'm standing, but too high if I sit. If I kneel, then my legs just hurt!
I've seen adapters to make Konami-type guns compatible with GunCon games-but I haven't seen anything to make my GunCon compatible with the Konami-type. I can't play Area 51 with the GunCon :(
I know there are other guns that are compatible with both types, but I wonder if I can make the GunCon compatible with the Justifier.
Anyone heard of a hack to do this?
If you ever do think of hooking a GunCon to a PC, I think you need to use a TV-out port to make it work, whereas you might not have to with the Justifier.
It would be cool to play T2 with the GunCon. I had it for the Genesis, complete with the Sega light gun (it had a ridiculous name)-but only 1 player could use a light gun.
If MAME really does work well with a light gun, I would like to see other shooting games emulated.
I wonder if Bank Panic could be played with a light gun? I know it was a joystick game, but it always struck me as a great potential light gun game.

: After reading the MAME README.TXT recently, I came across this link:
: One interesting thing mentioned there is the use of a PSX light gun device! They list both the G-con45 and the Konami Lightgun, although the KL is listed as untested.
: Is anyone using one of these? What input does the driver fake with MAME?
