You can wire a four player cabinet with either the LP24 or KE24, but there are limitations. First, every switch must have a diode wired in to prevent ghosting (a lot of work for a 4 player CP). Second, you have to design your matrix for two modes of operation: 2 player and 4 player. For example, my cabinet has 7 buttons for players 1 & 2, but only 3 buttons for players 3 & 4. When you have four people, players 1 & 2 can only use three of their buttons or masking occurs (this should happen theoretically, but in testing my CP I haven’t really had a problem). The best way to go for a four player cab is to use the new 72-pin encoder from Hagstrom, I wish they would have announced it about one month earlier (before I bought my LP24).
