The Tehkan (american) football and soccer games used two trackballs I think.
One of the Arkanoid sequels has a two player simultaneous mode -- not a trackball game but being able to play dual spinner games with two mice/trackballs is a lot easier if you won't be able to build your dream control panel for a while.
There's a NeoGeo game (forget the title) that looks like a 2P simultaneous Arkanoid clone-but I don't know if NG games used spinners or trackballs besides Irritating Stick which wasn't 2P simultaneous, was it?
Does that Arcade Classics version of Centipede or Missle Command have a 2-player simultaneous mode?
Warlords-4 spinners.

I only have a PC laptop right now, but do most desktops come equipped with two serial ports?
What I do have is a serial port and a ps/2 port, would it be hard to enable both for mame?
And can't the ps/2 port be reconfigured to scan quicker?
Would that make a difference in MAME?
I remember using a mouse utility made for Quake-type games to increase the scan rate of the mouse.

Before I heard this, I was thinking of the possibility of hacking a Genesis or Playstation mouse to connect to the parallel port with DirectPadPro to get a second trackball.
Maybe with a parallel port, 2 serial ports, and a ps/2 port we could have 4 trackballs?
