: Has anyone built on of these? The reason being we are getting a new kitchen put in and space will be limited in the apartment for a full cabinet. I was thinking about making a something to sit on the breakfast bar.

: Any Pro's/Con's, helpful hints, plans, I'm in the process of making my first control panel now and need all the help I can get :)

I was just wondering if you plan to build it directly into the surface you cook, eat, etc. on... if that is the case then I have two suggestions/caveats.. 1. make sure it is sealed! if you have to wipe down the counter make sure
you don't have water leaking down into the electronics. So I would make sure you don't put the electronics in the same part as the buttons or joysticks as they will be
very difficult to seal. 2. Find a bezel material that is clear yet tough as nails... many commercial cleaners will make clear plexiglass blur and smudge. It also has to stand up to
scrapes and scratches. And remember temperature. If you set a hot pot on it many formica tops will melt.

Just some thoughts,

Jim K.
