Haven't been around much lately, mainly because
I've been working on my 'next project' --
Restoring my car -- Unrelated. Hmm. Wait.. I may have
room for a flatscreen lcd on the dash. :)

As far as my finished machine goes, I don't expect to
do any mods for at least another few years. Who knows
what's ahead of us on the emu front, or Mame for instance?
I don't want to spend too much time with minor mods when
a new game or emu may be right around the corner. For
instance, I still don't have much of a need for a steering wheel,
but after Pole Position comes out, and especially the racing
games of the 90's (Only reason to crawl into a new arcade) come
out, I'll have reason. The only other 'new' games
that are fun are the gun games. Now there is a modification
worthwhile if we can ever get guns working with emus.

I can relate to you, though and see going with the restoration
route. I can easily see that in my future. Besides my car project,
the rest of my time has been sucked up looking for a new home.
I'm in search of a large basement so I'll have room to expand my
collection so I can work on some 'real arcade machines' as well.

I have another project idea in the works, which I'll post
separate.. This may be getting too long, dull, and boring.
Sorry, I'm a bit exhausted over here.. Tough day at work.

-Mike

However, after this I was planning on an 'emulator box'
of sorts... As we all know, we jammed the arcade emus
back into arcade machines

: Some choose to continually upgrade their cabinet.

: Others build a second machine.

: What are you planning?

: Personally, I've been bitten by the restoration bug. Wouldn't trade my cabinet for the world, but now I feel the need for the "real thing."

: Does anyone else here have original arcade games?
