I will be putting up a page shortly on how I make my spinners. It is a little more complicated to build than the Twisty Grip but you wont have to worry about any problems like balancing the washers or having the light chopper glued in perfectly straight....and it is a bit more durable also. But mine also uses Happs trackball encoder which runs a good bit of cash.

: BTW: I am using an old Atari Paddle as the knob and shaft for the spinner. Once you take the variable resistor apart, it has a great housing for the shaft and the knob is perfect.
