I have no idea what res N64 games play at sorry, it's perfect for Mame as very few games (I think 3 or 4?) have resolutions over 640x480. It is connected with a VGA cable that it comes with, it is a computer monitor and not a TV or Arcade monitor.
I bought this thing strictly to go in my MAME cab, it won't do well with PC games, and I highly doubt anybody would really want to play CS with an 8 way joystick anyways. =)
