I thought about that, but I was hoping there was an easier solution. The front-end I'm using (mm) uses the enter key to select a game to play. The standard mame buttons have alt for player 1 button #2 and enter for player 2 button #5 (I think) so I was trying to keep the cp in synch with mame defaults.

I guess I'll just have to do what you suggest and move the alt button.
