Need help hooking my jamma rig to my stereo

I can hook it up to a speaker but I want to be able to go through my receiver and out its speakers.
Are there any sites with pictures of a spliced audio cable? When you cut one of the wires open theres only 1 wire, I'm assuming thats the + wire, now where does the - wire connect to?
