Are all keyboard IC identical - if so, anyone have a jpg of the pins and the specifics on which pins equal a key?

I am close to converting my 4 player "World Soccer Finals" to an ultimate MAME machine. I now understand the details, and already took apart an old keyboard and soldered the 2 wires needed for the letter "A".

It is no problem, but it took about 5 minutes of tracking the plastic film to the pins to get the right combination. Since I plan my MAME to have 4 players with 6 buttons each, plus the basic MAME controls, I calculated that I will need to wire up almost every key available on the keyboard.

Just tracing each key back to their pins is going to take forever. Anyone ever done this and have the info available?? Or is there a web page detailing it??

Thanks
