Area 51 HD question

I was thinking about this, considering area 51, primal rage, and all the new Atari games have hard drives in them, couldn't you just buy the board and copy the hard drive? I know it isn't in Windows form or anything, but you could get a hold of one of those industrial HD copiers for network admin's and stuff. Just a thought....
