The 7100 should be fine. The 7700 is obviously the better card overall (it rocks), but for TV-out and Mame I don't think you'll notice much difference... That is until a Direct X port of Mame takes better advantage of the video card speed... :)

: Hello all! I haven't posted in quite some time but now I need some advice. I want to put a 25" s-vid TV in the Goldmine to replace the 17" monitor, but I need a new video card to do it. I see that Gadgetman and others have had great luck with the ASUS V7700 GTS version of the Geforce2, but the cheapest I can find it is for $230. The ASUS V7100 MX I can find for $125, but I can't find any detailed specs to tell what the difference is between the two. Can anyone tell me why one is twice what the other is? I really don't care about 3D performance, this is a MAME cabinet mainly, with some other console gaming occasionally, very little in PC stuff.
