Either choice... you will want s-video out. Don't consider less.
ATI wins on TV-out quality... but a few weeks ago someone who had both put pictures up. They were close enough that I wouldn't choose on tv-out quality alone.
all Geforce tv outs aren't the same. I've heard some stink. Look down in the last 2 weeks of posts and someone had really great output on one of the brands. They are all within a few bucks of each other, so I wouldn't go with a cheap brand.
I've never heard anyone mention if you can get tv-out in pure dos on a Geforce card. But I have heard you can on an ATI. BUT at your processor speed, you will want windows. Why? new mamew, stretching in hardware, all the windows only emuls (impact, modaler, killerinstinct one, ), also, if you have broadband... Kaillera... now if you want to play someone else... go online at your console. Also, don't forget real pc titles that will rule on a cabinet (BlackAndWhite with trackball...). Also DVD-Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, DL2, TimeTravelers.... IE, go with windows. you have the horsepower!
So if your going windows... Geforce sounds like a better choice, but you might consider the ATI since its a great card (1) and it has better DVD support (for Dragons Lair). Only thing... Remember that the low end ATI Radeons are cut rate cards. They have 1/2 the memory bandwidth and features turned off.
