I have gotten a few mb's to work like this...some do...some don't. I have never had trouble with the video end...just the audio.
I suggest you try to get genuine SB onboard sound....and even with that I won't buy a MB unless it has at leat 1 ISA slot...that way if the onboard sound won't work I can always throw in a SB16
