If you want to go for a TV, get one with S-Video out. This is a must for good quality display. Also, a video card (such as one of the ATI cards with a TV out connector (S-Video), is the way to go.

If you want to use a PC monitor, that is OK too. While not as authentic as an arcade monitor, it is not bad.

Also, you may want to consider the Wells Gardner U3100. It is a 19" Arcade Monitor that accepts VGA signals (and can run windows).

: : Is it wiser to use a computer screen or maybe real tv? And if a real tv how can i connect the tv to the computer?

: I am definately going for the TV solution. Compared to large computer screens, TVs are very cheap. A 25" TV comes from about $200 and up. a computer monitor the same size would cost ... I don't know, but it would hurt!

: The only thing you need to hook up a TV on your PC is a graphics card that supports TV output, and they are pretty reasonable in price, too. I have a Matrox Millennium G400 Dualhead, which cost about $150, I think. You others a lot cheaper. I think ATI is generally recommended in this forum. If you search for "rage" in the main list of topics you will find quite a few.
