You can adjust it yourself, if you want.

Outside of the regular positional controls (if your monitor has them, mine doesn't), you can adjust where the picture is located on the tube by moving the deflection ring on the tube to the left and right. the deflection ring is that portion of the yoke that has copper wire wrapped around it on the back of the tube, and usually has 3 rubber wedges placed between it and the tube, to prevent movement.

After properly discharging your monitor, remove the wedges. You will likely need to loosen a screw on a circular clamp that prevents the yoke from moving, until the yoke can move freely. You can then adjust the deflection yoke, positioning the picture any way you want. You can even rotate it, if you wish, to "square" the picture on the monitor.

Hint: This is a good time to also adjust colour purity and convergence settings on your monitor, to give you the most vibrant, accurate, and sharpest picture available. You'd be surprised how well the picture can be rehabilitated.

Attached is a link to a walkthrough for many of these processes. Its also a good primer on how the tube portion of monitors work.

: Ryan,

: Thanks for the post, I tried both the H-Sync & V-Sync twist, and replacing the video card with a ATI 3D Rage II+DVD. This did make a difference, but the picture is too far to the right now... Do you think that an ATI Rage Fury Pro AGP might work better, or do you think my monitor is duff/needs adjusting professionally?

: Thanks,
: Rich.
