: 1.) I'm planning to buy a 1ghz (!) system with 128mb of ram and a ATI Radeon all in wonder, is there an esimated % of games that are playable (at a decent rate) for this type of system, or should i save and buy a faster one?

99.9% Basically anything that runs on any system

: 2.) As far as the control panel i need a total of 48 button inputs (its a 4 player CP, 1 joystick, 1 start button and 6 player buttons), im a little confused as to what to do, should i buy a Hagstrom KE72 ($120) or two I-PAC's (39$ each--$78) and daisy chain them? All opinions are more than appreciated!

look at MK48 or MK64. I bought a MK64, but I think the i-pacs are a little more popular on this board. But not having both, its hard to compare. But I've never heard a bad thing about any of them (mkxx, ipac, or ke72)... (other then price on the ke72)

: And finally!

: 3.) I work at a computer assembly company, and i although i do have a basic knowledge of electronics, i always feel i could never be too careful, i want to make sure i connect the buttons right the first time (and neatly too!) does anyone know of any good sites with either general electronic advice relating to this kind of hookup or actual arcade button connecting?

Since one ground really works for all of them... thats the only easy part. Things to consider.. you might want more then one control panel (since most cabinets allow you to remove the panel itself for repair/testing. I'm planning on 3 myself. It's nice to have options later. So look at getting some connectors. Don't think clean looking, look at swappable.

: Thanks in advance! =)
