I just bought a 27inch vga monitor on ebay for 175 bucks. It doens't come with a case (ready to be mounted). I think it was the best for me. It was a dutch auction, so I'm sure that he has more. If you wait a week, I will let you know the quality. (640x480, 27', ie... grade c).
trouble... refurbished.. and only a 30 day warranty.
this also lets you be videocard dependent. the quality of tvout seems to vary.
