Maybe it's time we tried to develop a Windows version of AOS. Like a Shell replacement or something.

best of both worlds??

: : Anyone have any ideas on how to make this happen? I'd also be interested to hear if anyone's had any luck getting other Windows-based emus to work from the ArcadeOS frontend. My goal is to even include PSX, Nebula, N64 and other stuff, of course that is probably going to take a LOT of APP tweaking and work.

:
: I've been trying similiar things, without much success yet. What I get is when I launch a Win app via Arcadeos, it runs in the background until I quit ArcadeOS at which point it runs in the foreground. Not much use.

: I'm actually thinking of writing a little app to sit 'between' ArcadeOS & the Win based emulators, with the aim being to 'freeze' arcadeos & pass control over to the app... Also waiting for the app to finish & then return focus to arcadeos. Don't know how feasible it'll be or useful ;)
