Just a guess, but it sounds like the problem is somewhere in the .cfg file that you loaded into your KE72. Could you post/upload it somewhere for us to look at?
(BTW, deleting the default.cfg file won't do anything. The .cfg file is just there for you to load into the KE72, but once it's loaded in, you technically don't need the .cfg file any more.)
