I went to CompUSA yesterday to buy some things I will be using for my upcoming cabinet.
The first thing I got was a Crystal Trackball. It looks really sweet and works great in Windows, but when I use it with MAME it doesnt seem to move as much as I would have liked. I tried messing with the sensitivity but that just made it backtrack a lot more. What setting should I change to optimize my trackball?
The second thing was a pair of nice new Gamepad Pro USBs. They work great and I can still use both of my normal gameport Gamepad Pros. The only problem is that Windows always sets the USBs as controller 1 & 2, and sets the old ones to 3 & 4. Is there any way other than manually changing it everytime that I can make the old ones 1 & 2 and the new ones 3 & 4? I know in MAME I can just say P1 should use J3 and such but I wanted the gameport ones to be the main two so they would work in all DOS apps.
