Its the way the memory is being handled, I battled your situatiion for more hours than I care to admit, finally, gave up. Now I either fire up ArcadeOS inside of windows or use Arcade@Home. All kinds of different config.sys and autoexec.bat files, numerous versions of Mame and ArcadeOS, there just wasnt a freaking answer for me anyway.
