Pick up a USB hub and you could connect 4 IPACs to the hub, and the hub to the USB port on your computer. I asked Andy via e-mail and he wrote that he thought it should work fine (your only limit becomes total keyboard keystrokes!) This will also extend your maximum cable length, as most decent hubs also refresh the signal.

You don't need any special drivers to use your panel for "regular" games, since its just sending keyboard signals to your computer. Your game just needs to support keyboard input.

: You guys will never know how happy I am that I found this site. Now that I've read as much as I can I wanted to check with you guys to make sure I'm not missing anything. My goal is to have 2 joysticks with 2 separate boxes housing each. I'm going to install a Happ's Super 4-way/8-way, 4 Ultimate pushbuttons (the inward curved ones), and 1 momentary button in each case. I am not too confident about wiring things myself so I've decided to get an IPAC interface and install both joysticks into my USB port. I have a few questions that I'm sure many of you have already answered but I couldn't find definitive answers to them here so I figure I'll ask.

: 1. With two separate boxes for each joystick I'll probably have to put an IPAC in each box, does anyone foresee any problems with plugging 2 IPACS into 1 USB port? I don't really want to daisy chain them but I don't have much choice do I? I believe there is also a cable length maximum to contend with as well, correct?

: 2. I am hoping that these joysticks will be used for many of today's games and not just MAME and such, is that possible with the right drivers?

: I realize that these questions are too general (and probably dumb and repetitive) but I'm just afraid that this is going to be over my head.

: thanks in advance
