it's been years since i've been in knoxville, but it is a really fun town. i went to graduate school there. there used to be a bar/video arcade called "quarters" but it closed years ago. in fact, the last time i was in knoxville (years ago) i noticed that most of the places i knew weren't there anymore.
also, it goes without saying that you should drive up 441 into the park and visit clingman's dome and the chimneys. the last left hand curve before the side road to clingmans is where the suspension came apart on my truck. thank god for gaurdrails... you can find out more about the smoky mountain national park at www.nps.gov
