As Oscar said, just attaching the steering wheel straight to the spinner would put tremendous direct stress on the spinner and would be a bad idea. I recall I asked this same question in a thread a few months back about the Fultra spinner. However...

It could be done if the wheel is not directly on the spinner, but rather another shaft with a gear on top is attached to the spinner, and a second shaft's gear meshes with the first shaft. The second shaft then runs to the steering wheel, which is secured very well in some sort of removable harness box. Then the stress is not on the spinner itself. I am planning on trying something like this in the future. Any ideas or comment?

: Hey all,

: I wondered if anyone has tried mounting a gaming steering wheel to a spinner (not permanently) for driving games. Any success stories? I was also toying with the idea of putting in a brake and gas pedal and putting in pushbuttons underneath for the contacts... good or bad idea or would it even work.

: I just thought it might be cool to be able to temporarilry mount a steering wheel for all those old driving games, but wonder if it would work well or cause too much stress on a spinner.

: Thanks!
