Generally speaking, an arcade monitor has power that comes in thru standard 110v (north america, anyways), usually through a switch, then off to an isolation transformer, often screwed to the floor of the cabinet. The monitor then takes it's power from that transformer.

My cab came with a mon, so I'm not the authority on this, but I would think that when you buy a monitor (like the WG3100 that everyone likes to talk about), that an Isolation transformer either comes with or can be purchased with the monitor.
