: On my ATI Rage Fury card, I had no software control over the output when in DOS. What I mean by control are things like contrast, brightness, color balance, etc. Those had to be adjusted strickly through the television. However, when in Windows, I could make those adjustmenst through the display settings (Right click desktop > Properties > Settings > Advanced...). Check these settings. They should be able to be saved so you don't have to change them each time. Hope this helps.
