I would have to agree with Chuck. I too have only fiddled with MAMEW a little but I think AdvancedMAME is more powerful as long as you spend some "quality time" with the mv.exe util.
That being said, I think MAMEW is a step in the right direction as it is much easier to get a decent looking game without knowing anything other than typing something like "MAMEW MPATROL".
I'll continue to look at it in the future but for now plan on sticking with pure DOS, AdvancedMENU and AdvancedMAME.
