You could use potting material eather just on the connections or actually pot the whole thing in a small case if you have the room.

: I have a PSX pad already hacked and ready to be installed in the wooden box. The problem is that the soldering points are not very strong, and I want this controller to last forever, without worrying about a moving wire or a soldering point loosing contact etc. I've thought I could use termic glue (white glue that is melt by heat), normal glue or maybe silicone all over the surface of the pcb and on the back, so as to make all the connections immovable. I don't know, however, if this is a good idea (maybe termic glue could damage the pcb?). I've also thought the perfect soultion would be making a little box, as a mould, and put the pcb inside and submerge it with one of the materials mentioned above. Is there any (successful) precendent of something like this. Please tell me before it's too late. Thanks.
