My thoughts on getting the most out of your IPAC / Encoder...

I have two dual-8way with 8 pushbutton controllers.
That comes to 16 inputs. However, an IPAC only gives you 12 inputs per player. (not including starts/coins)

However again, AFAIK, no dual-joy game requires more than 4 buttons at a time (Stompin' doesn't count)

So you really only need 12 inputs at a time...
1 8way + 8 pushbuttons = 12 or
2 8way + 4 pushbuttons = 12

So, if I were to select the four pushbuttons that I would NOT want to use while dual joysticking and wire these and the right hand joystick up to a switch that would either allow the ground to the buttons OR the right joystick, and run the rest of the wires as pairs, I could run 4 controllers of these controllers off my 2 IPAC's.

Let me know what you think.
