When I first arrived at the auction (Tampa, FL), there were maybe 20 games - none of which really interested me. However, just a few minutes before the preview period started, three trucks pulled up and unloaded their games. As I was peering into the last truck I saw the unmistakable profile of a Dragon's Lair cab (my favorite game). I was excited at first but that excitement quickly faded as I realized that there was no way I was going to be able to win the bidding on this cab with only $200 in my pocket (they go for $800 - $2000 on ebay). But wait... what's this? - the cab had been converted into some fighting game (Street Smart). As long as nobody realized that this was originally a DL cab, I had a chance. Apparently no one realized it or no one really cared because I won the bid and drove home that night with a DL cab in my truck and still some cash in my pocket. The cab is in great shape and my plans are to convert it back into a Dragon's Lair machine.

Also, the next day, I went to an Arcade Game retailer and picked up a gutted Donkey Kong Jr. cab in nice shape for $25. Anyway, I'm thrilled with my new purchases and just had to share it with someone.

P.S. Does anyone have Donkey Kong Jr. side art that they're willing to sell?
