320x240 seems to be a 'standard' size...its big enough to see without squinting, but the file sizes aren't insane. I'd recommend using mpeg to compress them...quicktime or divx probably compresses better, but then a lot of people would have to go download the codec/player, which is annoying. Most platforms/compuers come with an mpeg player though...
