how big were you thinking of? at 72dpi you can make the strider.jpg about 16x20 inches. if you make it that big, you are going to see .jpg artifacts at the edges when you look closely. it looks much better after applying the "despeckle" filter in photoshop.

dragonslair needs some unsharp mask to make the halftone dots crisp. alternatively, you can apply median, unsharp mask, and levels (in that order) to accomplish the following:

it suffers some from .jpg compression. with a little work, you could obtain much better results -- in the end it depends on what you like.

the actual steps you need to take to get the results you are looking for will vary. you need to talk to the person who runs the printer you will be using. if you just give them the file the way it is they can print it. you might want to have it printed small first, to check the colors. that will depend on how picky you are going to be about the colors.
