Here's a picture for it. (sorry about the
quality) Sadly getting it back to it's
original state will require some soldering -
but then again, I don't think I'll be selling
it - it's really quite an excellent controller.
The joysticks are both excellent, and the
unit's really sturdy. It might be worth
mentioning that I picked it up for only 280yen
at a video game rental store! I should go
back and see if they've got anything else
for cheap. :)

I've actually been looking for something like
this for quite some time. I even priced out
a set of assault controls and was told at the
time that it'd run me around $300. Those were
nice though - if you've ever played the game
with the controls it was meant to have, you'll
know what I mean. I had a friend back in Jr.
High who's dad worked in the industry - I
remember playing this game for the first time
in his garage - it was kind of hideous, because
he cheaped out and got the thin red(?) sticks
with buttons on top. It made the gameplay
really awkward. It would be a while until I
got the chance to play it the way it should
have been played, and I wouldn't really have
played it if it weren't for the nice controls.
Probably pumped $40 into the machine over the
course of a year...

: : That sounds like a sega saturn twin stick controller for the game Virtual On? Do you still have the pcb and connector intact? A Virtual On fan with a saturn or dreamcast might be interested in it.

: Yeah, those things have been out of production for a while, and demand seems to be pretty high. You might be able to sell those for a pretty dollar.

: Not to me, though, since I don't have Virtua On. :-)

: : : I just want to know if anyone's having the same
: : : problem as I am: I recently found an old Sega
: : : tank control (really nice, two ascii sticks with
: : : microswitches, finger and thumb buttons on each
: : : stick) and wired a cheap usb 'rumblepad' to it.
