I never intended to upset or enrage anyone. I was having some good natured fun with Jose. His response was tasteful and mature, and we even enjoyed a pleasant e-mail exchange afterward.
I was attempting to be jocular when I "lamented" that we couldn't convert JoseQ into "one of us". By "one of us", I meant that we were a group who had discoverd the joy of building our own equipment. I know I love sharing the excitement and sense of discovery that lead to the creation a working arcade machine. Doesn't everyone here?
And, yes, I did refer to the cost of HanaHo's equipment. They charge more than the other newer suppliers that have appeared lately. I *never* questioned their quality. They DO put together a fine product. Personally, I find it cost-prohibitive. (Did I mention the love of the process?)
I won't speak for the group, but I was surpised at the defensive stance from a member of the Hanaho staff (anonymous). Note, again, that I never questioned their workmanship.
In fact, I complemented them.
Hope that clear things up. Back to business, eh?
