Chris,

I havent actually done this Yet, but will somday...

Get the Optical type. Then you will have to hook up a mouses guts to the optical sensors.

You will most likly have to remove the sensors on the joy first - using a low heat soldering iron. Then remove the mouses horizontal Axis optos, and soldier them to the joy's board. Lastly, run some from each of the joys optos, to the place where you unsoldierd them from the mouse.

Basically you will just be using the mouse to control the swivel.

If you do not mind less rotation, you can just use the Pot version. I dont know if the Pot that it comes with is the right kind.

Rip an analouge joystick apart, and take the horizontal axis pot out. Put it into the joys holder. Wire it up to the original joy it came from.

Hope this helps,
Sincerely
Steve
