Looked at the rest of the code. This is exactly what it does w/ one clarification: The aos.lcd is displayed whenever you are in ArcadeOS. Nice feature. I recently saw a Japanese NeoGeo cab w/ a camera and a big ole LCD display on E-Bay. Dunno what I'd do w/ the camera but the LCD has got me thinking...
: Not sure what you are looking for but I've glanced at the code and it uses the com ports. It appears there are three LCD functions. : That's it. I believe the spec for LCD displays varies from lcd to lcd but maybe not. In anycase, it looks like you can use any format as the data is just written out the com port. : Hope this helps. : : has anyone found full information / documentation regarding Danny's support for displays in ArcadeOS.
: 1. A hardcoded filename of aos.lcd is the file which is a startup lcd display.
: 2. Gameinfo which is
: 3. Shutdown LCD. Don't see a hardcoded name here. Probably displays the next 4KB of the gameinfo.lcd file.
