Hi Marty,

You for games like Ikari...the rotary joystick will probably give you the more realistic arcade feel for the game. However, you also need an interface to link the joystick to the keyboard encoder. As fas as I know Druin is the only one who knows how to do this. He has been kind enough to enlighten us on how. Do a search for Druin rotary and you will find it. I only know this because I have the same idea and di a little research. Yes..you can do it, but it is a little involved. I'm sure it is well worth it though. :-)....BTW..I believe the Optical Joystick can be hooked up to your trackball interface, but maybe someone else can give us both more on this...

: Hi there,

: I'm thinking of adding a rotary joystick to my panel to plays games like Ikari Warriors (what other games would work with it?). What I'm wondering is, on Happs page they have a rotary and an optical rotary... what's the difference and what would I need if I am using a Hagstrom KE72 and an ME24? What do I need to get one of these to work?

: Thanks,

: Marty
