I'm not sure what could be causing that. Are you sure you wired your buttons as NO(normally open) as opposed to NC(normally closed)? Also, get a keyscan program from the utilities on this site to check you don't have some wiring problems causing stuck or intermittent keys. Sorry, but I can't think of anything else. I'll try to think about it for awhile and see if I can come up with something else.

: I tried checking and unchecking the direct input. no luck.
: Everything seems to work until I actually try to use it in a windows program. I can navigate around in windows and tab, esc, enter, shift, etc. all work well and respond quickly in the windows interface and microsoft word, but when I tried it in mame32 and neoragex it totally sucks.
: It works in the mame32 'front end' but not when I load a game.
: HELP!!!!!!!

: : You don't have to make the keys repeat. Try checking/unchecking the direct input box for the keyboard in MAME32.

: : For the trackball, on the cable going to the x-axis roller just reverse the two wires (leave the power and ground wires where they are.) Get a safety pin or something similar and you can push in on the clip that holds the wire in the plug, it should pop out easily. I had to do this too.

: : : I've got my panel together and wired up and am drooling hardcore to use it. I'm tring to use it in windows and seems to work well until I load mame32. It doesn't seem to recognize any keypresses. Only sporadically does it work. VERY sporadically.
: : : Do I need to set the key configurations for the ke72 so that they repeat? I'm thinking this may be the problem.

: : :
: : : Also, when I hook up my trackball it works, but the x-axis is reversed. What's the easiest way to fix this?
