That little program is fragile. If it doesn't find things right where it wants it will crash. The source code doesn't feature error catching, it just crashes.
Error 62 is an "Input Past End" error, which indicates it is trying to read file data that isn't there.
If you're getting this error at the end, but it still generates the files and looks okay, just ignore it, looks like a program bug.
If you get it right away when you run it and it does not work at all, you need to be sure you type the right DIR where "mame.exe" exists, and that your roms are in a folder called "roms" right under that exact directory.
If your Mame executable is something other than "mame.exe", like say "mame32" or "mamei686" or something, you can do one of two things...
1.) Temporarily rename your executable to "mame.exe" for purposes of running this ROM checking program
2.) Copy the file "mame.exe" from the DOS version of the Mame version you have to the same directory...
