Heh:

It's been a while since I check this board, and I do it now and first thing I find is my name, funny. :)

Building is definitely not for everybody. Although I am probably capable of doing it (spent too many years in engineering school), but time is definitely something I don't have, and my wood working abilities would also leave me with a non-pro looking ball of wood with a screen in there somewhere, and some knobs and buttons protruding out in a couple of different places. :)

So I preferred getting the real deal. I bet it would be cheaper to get an used arcade cabinet, but then hooking the controls would be a pain for me, the monitor and control parts would be used and weared out, plus the whole thing wouldn't smell like new.

And like I said, time is a huge problem for me. I run EmuViews, DVD Views, DVD Ratings, and SpeedHost.Com which is a web hosting business with a couple hundred customers (Saint is one of them). I'm also married and have a full time job.
Adding more work to that is something I have to
think many times, and it would definitely take me
many many hours to do something like that. I'd
rather pay for it. Like my first grade teacher (may she rest in peace), time is gold.

: I guess Jose didn't spend enough time here at The FAQ.

: Oh well, I suppose building your own cabinet/controls isn't for everybody!
