I picked up one of these trackballs for only $5 new (OEM) at a local shop. They usually retail for around $40-50 new so I decided to pick it up. This thing can really spin! It's great for games like Missile Command and Centipede when it's properly calibrated.

My question is about a plate for mounting it on my control pane. This thing is HUGE. I'm not sure about the exact size, but I'd guess it's about a 4-5 inch ball. Would the Happ 3" plate be easy to cut or should I try some other kind of plate? I'd really like it to sit inside of the panel rather than on top of it. Any suggestions?

If anyone sees one of these for cheap get it! It's got one button, which is perfect for navigation in Windows. I, probably like a lot of other people, am not going to be playing a lot of trackball games, so I couldn't really justify dropping $80 for a real arcade one.

Anyway, any help will be much appreciated!
