sorry for the double post..
my ideal will handle the following. (I have 4 players on mine)
4 players 3 buttons each. (simpsons)
2 players with 2 joysticks each (total carnage, ect)
2 players 6 buttons (street fighter)
2 players 4 buttons next to each other (neogeo)
2 players with rotating joystick and 3 buttons

I'm thinking of the following (not done)
1 trackball with 3 buttons..
starwars yoke (twisty grip).
these will probably be side by side.

lots of stuff right...

so I have 4 person cab. (Captain America). on the two far sides, I've rotated the joysticks to be sideways..

the two side stations have a rotatable stick and 3 buttons. The two centers have an 8 way and 7 buttons (3 on top, 4 on bottom).

go for a little diagram

|
| + Y * *
| * Y O * *
| * * YYY +
|
| + * * * + * * *
| * * * * * * * *

Y = yolk (maybe)
O = track ball

I'm toying with rotating the joysticks slightly.. but then one player 2 joysticks doesn't work (and I play that more often then 2 player 2 joysticks).

The other thing I'm considering... replacable tops.

I would have to come up with a way of locking the front down... and replacing it quickly... but I haven't done it yet. This would allow me to have a few less cluttered tables... and be able to add more quickly. (like a racing steering wheel (force feedback.. 90 bucks), machine guns (have some ideas how to do it..., dual spinners, ect)..
