I agree with Bob...don't go soldering stuff to the main board. Buy a connector if you don't get one with the monitor.

PLEASE...read the warnings before you EFF around with the monitor. It truly is dangerous and needs to be properly discharged.

ALSO...you WILL damage your arcade monitor if it doesn't support the VGA signal your computer is sending (old arcade monitors will not support VGA). SO, you need a front end or MAME to deal with this before turning the monitor on. There are entire sections on sites linked here. I would strongly suggest you read them all. I am far from an expert on these projects, but I am an A+ Certified, so I know a bot about the PC end of the equation. :-) You can do it....just be VERY careful and read read read all you can about it.

: I'm fixing to get my hands on an arcade machine with a 19" arcade monitor and was wondering how basic is it to hook up to the PC..Am I just supposed to solder up the corresponding RGB,HSNYC etc to the main board on the monitor? Is that all there is to it?
