So I went ahead and posted how smart I am that I bought the microspeed oversize trackball and how easy it is to mount. I had been using it on my regular machine and unhooked it and took it to the garage for the mame machine and guess what? The mame machine does not have a PS2 port! Only a serial port. A quick call to a friendly microspeed rep and I now know that the ps2 to serial gender changer will not work because of "firmware issues" I can pay $45 and they will re-work my trackball. Hmmm, I am an idiot!!!
