I have a 6V bulb. Would there be a problem wiring it to the +12V connector? If not, is all I need a new bulb, or do I need a new light socket? Sorry, but wiring in obviously not my forte. Thanks again,

Chuck

: : Excuse me if the answer to this is obvious, but I cannot find any reference to it. I need to wire the small 6V lightbulb from a Happs trackball. Someone told me that the way he did it was to wire it to a spare power connector in the PC, but I'm not sure how. There are 2 connectors on the light (I assume a hot and a ground). I think there are 4 wires on a PC power connector.

: : Has anyone else done this, or is there a better method? I'd love to be able to wire it a power cord that could just plug into a power strip. Is that possible?

: : Thanks for any help...I'm so close to being done!!!

: Your PC power supply outputs +5 and +12 volts through the standard connectors.

: I replaced my bulb with a 12V one I got at RadioShack, then connected it to the +12V from the PC power supply. Nice & bright now!

: Your typical PC power supply:
: GND - black
: red - +5V
: yellow - +12V
