Hi, I have that card too, and I no problems at all with tearing when triple buffers and/or vsync are used in emus. And that's both on PC monitor or TV. I'm very sleepy right now, but maybe check that you have the latest drivers.

ZSNES for DOS scrolls great, but the Win version has no triple buffers yet so that one will tear.

: I figured since a lot of people have ATi cards, and a few have been discussing problems with them, I thought I'd raise another. I've noticed this problem with scrolling games where the tearing is highly noticable no matter what I try. You might notice this a little in MAME with games like VS Super Mario Bros. or PC10 SMB3, but I'm noticing it most of all with SNES emulation.

: I've tried many different configurations with both ZSNES and SNES 9x. The best way I can minimize the tearing is in SNES 9x, using normal display and double buffering. But SNES 9x's method of stretching the screen isn't quite as appealing as ZSNES's. So I tried messing with ZSNES's cfg file, and I noticed the tag to turn VSync on and off. So naturally I turned it on thinking it would fix the problem, but alas, it did not. I also noticed that SNES 9x's Open GL bi-linear filtering gives a stretch affect closer to ZSNES, but even with double buffering, and my OpenGL settings set to VSync, I couldn't get rid of the tearing.

: Does anyone else have any experiece or comments about this? Please share if you do. Thanks very much
