Most Routers have that guide edge, so if you were worried about slipping, you could clamp some 2X4 to use as straightline guides and then go slowly and carefully. I had to do that with a lot of the routing on my CP cause I suck at drawing straight lines. Obviously didn't do that for the joysticks though cause nobody will look at the underside ;-)
