sounds like a fun project. I was planning on build a tabletop as well from scratch but like the idea of using a case like you did. I do have a mess of small buttons from HAPPs I bought but my CP is would and these are better for a metal panel. If you need any I can sell them to you at what it cost me. If I remember I bought 2 of each size and color.
: I got the case from Bob Roberts, but he doesn't have any more. It was an old black and white bar-top poker machine. I've just started building it and the control panel was the first thing I did. I've got a p2 266 motherboard with on board sound and video and I've got a 12" monitor on the way. It should run all of Mame pretty well. I dont have start,coin,etc.. buttons figured out just yet - I was going to try a keyboard hack and use small buttons on the side of the case or something. I'll post more as it develops
